City Greens Supa' Fresh Veggie Mobile Invades Shaw!

City Greens, part of the Catholic Charities Community Services, arrived at the corner of Russell and 39th street in the Shaw neighborhood this morning. Their goal is provide produce and other goods at an affordable price.  They offer a free membership to families and individuals making less than $30,000 per year.  Produce is usually harvested within 24 hours of the Mobile Trucks arrival.  City Greens Director John Pachak, lives in Shaw and thought our neighborhood would be a great place to set up shop based on the range of income levels and our need for a place to buy fresh produce within walking distance.  City Greens will be in Shaw every Wednesday at 39th and Russell from 9am to 11am.
