Here’s a little background about our neighborhood and its historic homes:

A premier location when it was founded in the 1880s, the Shaw neighborhood has undergone a rebirth with the past decade’s renewed interest in city living.

With both the Missouri Botanical Garden and Tower Grove Park in Shaw’s backyard, you can jog the pathways, play tennis at a first class tennis club, take the kids to playgrounds, picnic at nearly 150-year old pavilions, see the beauty of many picturesque gardens, attend free concerts and have brunch surrounded by fountains and lush ponds.

Within Shaw itself is the Shaw Dog Park, private religious, public and magnet schools, restaurants, a wine bar, bakery and local bar & grill.

Houses in Shaw were primarily built between 1880 and 1930. From Georgian to English Tudor, Arts and Crafts to Romanesque - the commonalities are mostly brick construction coupled with fine craftsmanship seen in the art glass, hardwood floors and ornate millwork.
