Historic Tax Credits and Entrepreneurship in the Tower Grove area

A Tower Grove Neighborhoods CDC staff member is in Portland, Oregon this week, as a member of a panel discussion, for the New Partners for Smart Growth (https://newpartners.org/).  The panel's presentation will focus on Missouri's Historic Tax Credit program laying a foundation for entrepreneurship to grow. HistoricTaxCredits-and-Entrepreneurship-in-TGN There are six historic districts in our service area: Reber Place Historic District, Shaw Avenue Place, Shaw's Garden Historic District, Shaw Neighborhood Local Historic District, Tower Grove Heights Historic District - boundary increase and others in our surrounding neighborhoods.

The panel discussion will examine the economic development tools and collaborations that support entrepreneurship. The Historic Tax Credits, Community Improvement Districts, Parks, Bike Lanes, Neighborhood Associations, Community Development Organizations, Business Associations, Business Incubators, etc. – all these entities collaborating within our community help to support entrepreneurship, attracting millennials to boomers to live, work, and play.  We need to be creative and collaborate to achieve success in our communities, city, and region.
