SNHC and CDA Searches for New Developers for the 4100 Block Of Detonty

  Detonty Commons- 4100 Detonty

There have been many proposals over the years for the 4100 block of Detonty, which included one vacant building and 14 vacate lots, but little progress.  However, recently, the long time vacant property at 4100 Detonty was renovated and sold after one day on the market. Speculative building financing has become more difficult to find over the last 5 years and is the main reason why this block of Detonty remains vacant. Renovated housing in Shaw continues to sell at around $110-115 per square foot and days on market for renovated homes hover around 30-60 days.  Shaw continues to be one of the most popular neighborhoods to live and there are already two new construction homes under construction at 4136 Flad and 4274 Flad. Both homes were sold prior to construction starting.   As we move toward 2013, Shaw Neighborhood Housing Corporation in partnership with Community Development Corporation of St. Louis City is accepting proposals to complete 14 new homes on the 4100 Block of Detonty. Please follow this link to the Request for Proposal.
