Tower Grove Park Access Improvements project

Construction is nearing completion on the Tower Grove Park Access Improvements project, which has addressed 21 intersections around the Park. The project brings the intersections to ADA code while making them safer for all users entering and exiting the Park. There is also a special crossing for the Missouri School for the Blind and accommodations made for bus stops.

This $1+ million project was made possible through a combination of City, MODOT, and federal Transportation Alternative Program grant funds.  The City of St. Louis has also repaved Arsenal Street between South Grand Blvd. and Kingshighway Blvd.

We believe these perimeter improvements coupled with previous access improvements made on the park interior have made traveling into and around Tower Grove Park much easier. But we would like your opinion on this matter.

Have you utilized any of the improved access points? If there is a pedestrian signal, is it helping to make your crossing the street safer? Your insights on the project would be helpful. Let us know where you typically access the park, the improvement(s) utilized, if the improvement has increased your sense of safety and ease of access. Here is a survey to leave feedback on the project.
